Nervous system regulation tool
The Skull Massage đź’€
WHY: This area sits right over the suboccipital muscles — chronically tight in most people who use screens — close to the vagus nerve's exit point from the skull.
Releasing tension here has a disproportionate calming effect on the whole system. Bosh.
HOW: Use your fingertips to apply slow, firm pressure along the base of your skull where it meets your neck.Work outward from the centre and take your sweet time.
(Bonus points for setting a 2-min timer to do this.)
Notice how you feel afterwards and let me know. Does it work for you?

Behind the scenes:
I was in London with my man this week, which usually means all my routines, my sleep, and any semblance of a 'normal' day goes out the window.
But this time I didn't let it, and I'm properly proud of myself.
Normal to me looks like:
A little breathwork and mindfulness in the morning before I touch my phone.
Movement, even when I'm tired.
Reading novels instead of working incessantly.
Not eating an entire tub of Ben & Jerry's (why do I do these things?!).
I'm not here to force hardcore discipline, I just know these things genuinely feel good for me, even when I don't feel like doing them.
I did this stuff in London, and I've come home with more energy, I've got more done, and I feel way more myself.
It all sounds obvious when I write it out, but it's one of those things you have to keep relearning in your body rather than just knowing in your head.
The takeaway: slowing down — actually, properly prioritising yourself — doesn't cost energy, it creates it.
What's one thing you can prioritise for yourself every day for the next week?
